Elior is a large contract catering company operating across a wide range of sectors including education, sports venues, and corporate environments. Kappture served as the primary EPOS provider for many of Elior’s sites, and I managed numerous deployments for their clients throughout my time at the company.

These projects ranged from single till installations in small venues through to larger stadium environments including Lincoln City FC, Rotherham United FC, and Leicestershire County Cricket Club.

Key Project – Schools Integration

One of my first major projects with Elior involved implementing Kappture’s EPOS platform across six schools in the Midlands. The project required a complex integration with ParentPay, a system used to manage student meal balances and payments.

At the time, Kappture had never implemented a balance management integration, meaning new internal processes had to be created, staff trained, and documentation developed to support the system.

The deployment involved managing student data for over 25,000 students across the six schools and ensuring accurate balance synchronization between ParentPay and Kappture’s EPOS platform.

My Responsibilities

• Managed full lifecycle delivery of EPOS deployment projects across multiple venues
• Created and maintained RAID logs to track project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
• Produced project documentation including deployment plans, installation guides and handover documents
• Developed RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) for on-site installations
• Coordinated internal engineering, deployment and support teams
• Delivered training sessions and system demonstrations for operational staff
• Maintained communication with stakeholders including venue management and catering partners

Implementation

The school deployment required close coordination between Kappture’s development, support, and deployment teams. New procedures were introduced to handle balance management between the EPOS system and ParentPay.

Staff across multiple schools were trained on the new system, ensuring that students could use their meal accounts seamlessly during busy lunch service periods.
