Project Overview
The Royal Opera House is one of the UK’s most prestigious performing arts venues, hosting world-class opera and ballet productions in a historic setting in London’s Covent Garden.
Kappture was selected to deploy EPOS systems across multiple retail and hospitality areas within the venue. The project required careful coordination to ensure installations were completed without disrupting scheduled performances or venue operations.
My Responsibilities
- Managed the deployment of EPOS terminals across retail and hospitality areas within the venue
- Coordinated installation activities with venue management to avoid disruption to performances
- Produced project documentation including rollout plans, installation schedules and configuration guides
- Maintained RAID logs to track project risks, issues and dependencies
- Oversaw system staging, configuration and testing prior to deployment
- Provided training and operational guidance for venue staff using the EPOS systems
Implementation
EPOS terminals were installed and configured across several sales points within the Royal Opera House, supporting retail and hospitality transactions during events and performances.
Due to the historic nature of the venue and its active performance schedule, installations were carefully planned around operational requirements to ensure minimal disruption to guests and staff.
Results
- Successfully deployed EPOS systems across multiple retail locations within the venue
- Delivered the project within operational time constraints
- Provided a reliable payment platform for retail and hospitality sales during performances
